These Terms govern your use of theopenconnection.com and services offered by The Open Connection ("TOC," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or join TOC. By using the site, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

Community expectations

TOC is built around connection, curiosity, consent, discretion, and respect. You may not use the site to harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, discriminate against, or violate the privacy or rights of another person; distribute unlawful or harmful material; attempt unauthorized access; or interfere with the operation of the site.

No dating, safety, or compatibility guarantee

TOC may help adults discover communities, platforms, gatherings, products, or other people, but we do not screen or guarantee any person, interaction, event, statement, identity, compatibility, conduct, or outcome. Use your own judgment, protect your privacy, communicate boundaries, and take appropriate safety precautions.

Third-party services and links

The site links to independent third parties, including SDC and social platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, policies, products, or conduct. A link does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement. Charter Membership and shop

Charter Membership is currently free. Descriptions of future benefits, gatherings, products, availability, timing, pricing, or discounts may change. The stated 20% Charter Member discount is intended for one first shop order per member, may not be combined with other discounts, and will be subject to the purchase terms provided when the shop opens. Joining does not guarantee an event invitation, product availability, or any financial value.

Intellectual property

The site, branding, copy, graphics, logos, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to TOC and are protected by applicable laws. You may use the site for personal, noncommercial purposes but may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or exploit our materials without written permission.

Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, TOC disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. Site content is general information and is not legal, medical, relationship, or professional advice.
